Introduction

This project gives you the opportunity to enhance your photography skills and knowledge by working alongside a professional photographer. They will provide invaluable practical tips, along with theoretical foundations to help boost your skills. It is very much a hands-on experience. You won’t just be listening to the professional telling you how to do things, you’ll be putting everything you learn into practice as you go along.

This isn’t just your average photography experience either. You get to explore and photograph the outstanding natural beauty of Thailand. Visiting numerous locations throughout the placement, you’ll have the opportunity to perfectly capture the Thai culture and its jaw-dropping scenery. You will also learn more about the culture, as well as Thai art, customs and history.

Just some of the locations you’ll be visiting throughout the project include local temples, markets and museums. This will give you an incredible snapshot of your time in this beautiful country. You can also use these photos in your portfolio when you return home.

Having the opportunity to work alongside a professional photographer is a fantastic experience. You’ll go from a beginner to an amateur photographer in no time. Whether you have a general interest in photography, or you’d like to progress into a photography career, you’ll find this placement truly invaluable.

On Wednesday, you’ll be treated to a day trip to Nong Khai after breakfast. There, you’ll visit the Wat Aranyabanpot to view temple art and local paintings. You will also explore the Nong Khai museum. After lunch, you’ll explore the local market and have the opportunity to meet the local people. Later on in the day you’ll experience a sunset boat cruise over to friendship bridge, before enjoying a pizza dinner.
