Unfortunately, the unexpected can always happen, and we want you to be prepared for it. If you arrive at the project, and something is not as described or something bad happens, we are here to help.
We do our best to ensure that all our participants have realistic expectations of the project, and to have these expectations met. If something should happen, before or during your placement, we recommend you should do the following.
1. Speak to your local coordinator
Each project has a project coordinator whose job it is to make sure you are well looked after and have everything you need. Speak to them in the first instance, either in person (if you have already arrived) or over the phone or by email, and explain your situation. I am sure they will be very happy to help.
2. Speak to our Resolution Team
If your issue is not being resolved, and you wish to escalate your complaint, then our Resolution Team will be standing by. Simply send us an email explaining your situation, in as much detail as you can, and we will swing into action and start investigating the issue. We will be discreet and get to the bottom of your situation in a timely manner. We will do everything we can to make sure you are happy and have everything you need.
3. Find a new program
If we are unable to help you resolve the issue, then we will help you to either find a new programme, or resolve any issues of refund with the project. We will mediate to find an acceptable solution to both parties.
If worse comes to worse, and you want or have to come home, then get in touch with us and we will help in any way we can. Your safety and happiness is our priority!
