Introduction
Scotland is a land of unparalleled beauty, offering breathtaking landscapes, unique art and science museums, and castles steeped in rich history. While exploring this stunning destination, you have the opportunity to be part of our Husky Ranch Scotland project, where you’ll experience off-grid living, learn about dog care, and most exciting of all, try your hand at dog mushing!
Scotland’s vast, rugged terrain and mountainous landscapes make it an ideal place for adventure seekers. Known for its glacial valleys and picturesque lakes, it’s a country that truly captivates anyone with a love for the great outdoors. If you’re looking for a chance to immerse yourself in the raw beauty of nature and live the rugged lifestyle, Scotland is the perfect destination for you.
The Husky Ranch Scotland project is home to a kennel of approximately 50 Siberian Huskies, alongside other domestic animals and livestock. The ranch is run by a passionate and experienced team, with one of the founders serving as a board member of the World Sleddog Association. These dedicated professionals not only train dogs for dryland and snow racing but also offer husky rides for the public. Volunteers will have the unique opportunity to care for the dogs, assist with their training, and even go on dog sledding rides.
The project is especially rewarding in winter when you can participate in dog sledding, but it also offers numerous opportunities for outdoor activities in summer, such as hiking, mountain biking, and kayaking. While the work on the ranch is physically demanding, it provides an authentic, hands-on experience in one of the most beautiful parts of the world. The minimum stay for this project is 4 weeks, so come join us for an unforgettable experience that blends adventure, nature, and the joy of working with these incredible dogs!
Daily Life
Get ready for an unforgettable adventure as you play with huskies and experience the thrill of dog sledding, all while caring for the other animals at the ranch! Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Scotland, where you’ll live off the grid in a cozy cabin, surrounded by stunning landscapes and the peaceful sounds of the wilderness.
As a volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities at the ranch, supporting dog training, sledding, and general animal care. But that’s not all! During your time off, take advantage of the endless outdoor activities available in this beautiful region. Whether you’re into hiking, kayaking, mountain climbing, or exploring Scottish castles and other attractions, you’ll have plenty of ways to soak in the breathtaking surroundings.
Scotland offers an ideal backdrop for those seeking a true nature-filled experience. So, come and explore one of the world’s most picturesque places while making a real difference in the lives of these incredible huskies and other animals at the ranch.
