Introduction
Are you ready to make a meaningful impact on the environment and community in Thailand? Welcome to Hua Hin, a breathtaking destination with a spectacular beach and a thriving ecosystem that needs your help. As an environmentalist, your journey starts with a visit to the local Mangrove Ecosystem Learning Centre where you will learn about Thailand’s environmental issues and participate in meaningful discussions.
Your hands-on work begins with a two-hour placement at the local mangrove nursery, where you will help produce young mangrove plants for the community. From preparing the seed and soil to watering and nursing the plant, you will learn from a local farmer and coordinator on how to plant and care for mangroves effectively.
But that’s not all. You will also participate in cleaning up the local beaches and communities by creating garbage bins, washing and sorting garbage, and researching and planning sustainable environmental practices. You will present lectures and training sessions to the local community members and children on topics such as recycling, reducing carbon footprint, waste separation, and climate change.
Don’t worry if you’re not fluent in Thai; an English-speaking coordinator will be there to support you. This program is an opportunity for you to create a positive impact on the environment and community, while also gaining valuable knowledge and skills. Are you ready to join us in this journey towards a sustainable future?
