Introduction
Are you passionate about animals and eager to make a difference? Join this hands-on volunteer program in Rome, where you’ll support local shelters in caring for dogs and cats while promoting animal welfare and adoption.
Ideal for animal lovers, aspiring veterinarians, and anyone with a soft spot for furry friends, this project offers the chance to help feed, groom, and care for animals—while assisting with shelter maintenance and public awareness campaigns. You’ll work closely with local non-profit staff, contributing to everyday operations and supporting efforts to find loving homes for adoptable animals.
Volunteers also assist in caring for animals with specific health conditions, such as FeLV in cats, learning basic treatment procedures to improve their quality of life. In addition to physical care, you may take part in outreach initiatives that promote the adoption of older animals and raise awareness about responsible pet ownership.
No previous experience is needed—just compassion, dedication, and a willingness to learn. With guidance from experienced local teams, you’ll gain valuable insight into animal care and contribute to a meaningful cause.
A minimum commitment of two weeks is required to ensure your impact is both helpful and lasting.
