Introduction

Join our impactful program on São Miguel Island and make a difference by supporting local NGOs in amplifying their visibility and fundraising efforts. This is a great opportunity to use your digital skills and creativity to help these organizations manage social media, design captivating campaigns, and create compelling content that drives donations and fosters community support.

As a volunteer, you’ll collaborate closely with local NGOs to develop and execute awareness and fundraising strategies. Your tasks will include maintaining active social media profiles, keeping websites fresh and engaging, and producing eye-catching graphics and inspiring videos that highlight the organization’s important work. Your efforts will directly benefit causes such as youth care, support for young mothers, environmental protection, and community outreach.

By leveraging the power of digital storytelling, you’ll help these organizations reach new audiences, attract vital resources, and make a lasting impact in the community. This is a unique opportunity to combine your passion for media and marketing with social good, turning your creativity into meaningful change for the people who need it most.

Daily Life

Campaign Development: Create and implement creative campaigns to raise awareness and funds for the NGO’s key initiatives.

Social Media & Website Management: Regularly update and manage the NGO’s social media channels and website to keep content fresh, engaging, and aligned with the organization’s mission.

Content Creation: Design graphics, take photos and videos, and edit content to visually showcase the NGO’s mission, programs, and impact.

Collaboration: Work closely with staff to understand ongoing projects and translate them into compelling content that resonates with the community and donors.

Important Note:
Volunteers are required to bring their own laptop, design software, and camera equipment in order to fully engage in the content creation process and produce high-quality media.

Travel and Accom.

Upon your arrival at the airport, you will be greeted and transported to our project.

Volunteers will be accommodated in dormitories at a centrally located youth hostel. The dormitories are available in female-only or mixed-gender options and feature private bathrooms shared with other occupants in the room.

You will enjoy three meals a day—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—provided at the hostel. The menu features local cuisine prepared in local style, offering a delightful mix of meat, fish, and fresh vegetables.

Upon arrival, volunteers will attend an orientation event that includes an introduction to local culture, an overview of the volunteer experience and program details, practical information, and safety guidelines.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to participate in a guided city tour, receiving insider tips to help them discover the best of what the city has to offer.
