Introduction

Volunteers in the Marine Conservation program in Split play a vital role in tackling sea pollution and safeguarding marine life through underwater clean-up efforts. While no prior diving experience is required, volunteers must obtain dive certification before participating in underwater conservation activities. The Program Fee covers the cost of necessary training, full scuba equipment, and supervision from experienced dive instructors, ensuring safety and competence in underwater endeavours. VolYou can nteers earn an internationally recognized SSI diving certifications, ranging from Scuba Diver to Open Water Diver, with additional specialty courses available, such as Marine Ecology and Fish Identification. Collaborating with a local diving school guarantees ongoing guidance from qualified instructors.

Contributing to the vision of healthier oceans and thriving ecosystems, volunteers engage in tasks like collecting and documenting marine debris, learning about the marine ecosystem, and observing and identifying fish species. Applicants are encouraged to indicate any existing dive certifications in their application. Join us in making a positive impact on marine conservation efforts, fostering an aware and inspired community dedicated to preserving our oceans and coastlines.
